DENVER — One of the two pilots injured when an Amazon cargo jet overshot a runway in Miami and plowed into two vehicles, killing five people on the ground Sunday, has been identified as a man from Colorado.
Joseph Carroll, 55, of Lafayette, was among the injured when a Boeing 767 hit a van on Miami International Airport property before ramming through a fence and hitting an SUV on a public street, according to ABC News. Carroll’s co-pilot, Jaime Molina, 37, a Miami resident, was also injured in the crash.

The five people killed were all in a van owned by Professional Ocean Service Corp., a company that cleans planes. The company said it wouldn’t comment on the crash out of respect for the families who lost loved ones…
