MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Two men are facing federal charges after authorities said they kidnapped a southwest Miami-Dade man from a pool store parking lot and held him for a seven-figure ransom, possibly over an old debt. FBI agents said a pizza purchase, among other things, tied them to the crime.
Authorities said Yansel Hernandez, 34, and Rene Quintana, 31, were taken into custody on Friday and the victim was rescued on Saturday.
Court documents in the case were made public on Tuesday. The two men face kidnapping conspiracy charges.
