Former BVI Premier sentenced for scheme to get Columbian cocaine into Miami

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) – A former British Virgin Islands Premier has been convicted of trafficking cocaine and laundering money, resulting in an eleven-year prison sentence. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that Andrew Alturo Fahie agreed to facilitate the safe passage of Colombian cocaine through BVI ports to Miami with the promise of making millions.
