Fort Lauderdale United’s USL Super League home opener against Dallas Trinity FC postponed due to construction delays

A second USL Super League fixture has now been postponed. Fort Lauderdale United FC were set to face Dallas Trinity FC at home this Sunday, but the match will now take place on December 1 .

The change to the schedule comes due to construction delays at FTL UTD stadium of Nova Southeastern University.

This Sunday’s game should have been Fort Lauderdale United’s home opener. The awaited debut will now take place against Brooklyn FC (who have also experienced stadium setbacks) on October 6. Those who bought tickets for the September 29 clash will instead be able to use them for the new home opener.

Fort Lauderdale United are ‘ensuring our new stadium meets the highest of standards’

“We are committed to delivering an exceptional matchday experience for our fans. While ensuring our new stadium meets the highest standards, we’ve encountered a delay in the final stages of construction,” shared the club in a statement on social media. Fort Lauderdale United are currently second in the league standings, chasing table-toppers Carolina Ascent FC.
