American Airlines Expands Miami-Europe Routes in 2025

American Airlines is set to expand its European routes from Miami International Airport in summer 2025 with its first-ever flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport and more flights to London Heathrow. Exciting times ahead!

“I am proud to celebrate our largest flying partner, American Airlines, and their announcement to strengthen its transatlantic network at MIA,” said Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Mayor. “This expansion reflects Miami-Dade County’s growth as a key link between North America, Europe, and beyond. We appreciate American Airlines for their ongoing commitment to the Miami market and look forward to welcoming even more of their travelers to our community.”

Next summer, American will run two daily flights between MIA and LHR. With our joint business partners, this service to LHR fits right in with flights to other partner hubs, making it easy for customers to plan smooth trips to over 175 destinations across Europe.

“As Miami’s Hometown Airline, we are proud to strengthen our commitment to providing customers with more options out of MIA. Our rapidly expanding network is a testament to our commitment to Greater Miami,” said American Airlines Vice President of MIA Operations Juan Carlos Liscano. “We are flying our largest schedule on record, with over 400 flights a day to more than 155 destinations around the world, providing our customers with an unparalleled network.”
