More FL Manufacturing Jobs Lost – Facility That Makes “Everything That Spins” Lays Off 76 Employees

The later months of 2024 have not been kind to manufacturing facilities and plants in Florida. I’ve recently covered the shutdown of Dart Industries, Inc. in Florida as well as the loss of 250 manufacturing jobs at Kimball Electronics, which is reportedly transferring the majority of its production from a Florida facility to a facility in Mexico. And now, unfortunately, Nidec Motor Corporation is also laying off 76 Florida employees.

About Nidec Motor Corporation: The company’s website describes itself as an international conglomerate that handles “everything that spins and moves.” The company began with only four employees but today it has more than 140,000 employees around the world.

It manufactures items like motors, generators, and drives.

The company earns 3.4 out of 5 stars from employees who rate it on Indeed. Some indicated that it was a good, decent, and fun place to work.

However, others expressed dissatisfaction with management or policies.

The Upcoming Florida Layoffs: According to a warn letter dated November 7, 2024, Nidec Motor Corporation dba Control Techniques/KB Electronics intends to lay off employees at a facility located at 12095 NW 39th Street in Coral Springs.
