Growing up in New York City as the youngest of eight, Bobby Palushaj remembers how food played a major role in his family’s life, especially weekend trips to the local donut shop—a cherished family tradition that later inspired the launch of The Hollywood Donut Factory.
In 2019, the Palushajs took over Dandy Donuts in Hollywood. They first expanded to Downtown Fort Lauderdale and, in November 2024, opened new locations in Bird Road, Coral Gables, and Kendall.
