Thirty-two people were rescued on May 3 when a luxury yacht flipped over and sank off the coast of Miami.
Authorities responded to a call at roughly 5:00 p.m. from nearby Monument Island. All passengers were safely rescued and taken to the Miami Beach Marina by responders from the Coast Guard, marine patrol units and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Passengers on the boat were primarily influencers, and many were quick to share footage of the boat sinking on social media. In one post, people on board were seen attempting to save their expensive possessions, including MacBooks, and Regan Hartley , former Miss America competitor, was filmed in a rescue boat cradling a $350 bottle of Clase Azul Gold tequila while someone quipped, “The baby is safe!” A video from model and stylist Lauren Nicole showed the influencers clad in life jackets standing on the sinking ship…
