MIAMI – Zoo Miami is celebrating Mother’s Day weekend with the arrival of several rare bird hatchlings from around the world.
Among them is a cinereous vulture, one of the world’s heaviest flying birds, which hatched April 21, Ron Magill, Zoo Miami’s Communication Director confirmed in a news release Friday. The chick is being raised off-exhibit by its parents.
