FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Authorities arrested a traveling trio from Miami early Tuesday morning, dismantling an alleged theft ring that targeted valuable boat parts in Fort Pierce.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) said that on Tuesday at 3 a.m. in three people allegedly involved in a theft operation targeting boat parts at Fort Pierce Boat Works were arrested in a coordinated operation by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) South Florida Task Force Unit.
“I commend the outstanding work of our deputies, along with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the South Florida Task Force Unit, and the Martin County Aviation Unit, for their swift and strategic response. Their efforts not only led to the apprehension of the suspects but also prevented further criminal activity.
