Lauderhill Man Arrested for Alleged Beating and Choking Daughters Over Stolen Candy

A Lauderhill man has been arrested on child abuse charges after authorities say he physically abused his daughter and adopted daughter for taking candy from his room.

According to records, Jimmy Jacob, 42, was taken into custody on June 7 after Lauderhill Police obtained an arrest warrant supported by extensive interviews, medical examinations, and photographic evidence documenting injuries consistent with abuse.

According to the arrest affidavit, police were first called to the victim’s mother’s home on April 14 after she reported that Jacob had physically assaulted their daughter at his residence the day prior.
