Super Bins: From laptops to toys, everything is $12 or less at new Sunrise store

Fri-yay has a new meaning for shoppers looking for discounts at the new Super Bins store at Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise. It’s a large bin store with aisles and piles of customer returns and overstocked goods from major retailers like Target and Amazon. Shoppers find a treasure trove of merchandise such as home goods, electronics, toys and much more at significantly reduced prices.

On Fridays, long lines with eager shoppers have snaked around the mall since the Sunrise store opened on August 15th. You can find people camping out in line as early as 7 a.m. waiting for the doors to open at 10 a.m. Weeks later, the lines are no different on Friday mornings, which is “restock” day.

WHY FRIDAYS ARE IMPORTANT

On Fridays, the items are priced at $12 each. The price drops $2 each day until items are priced at $1 on Thursday, before the new batch of inventory is unloaded on Friday. Many of the items found at Super Bins are still in their original packaging from those large-scale companies.

However, the most thrilling part for many shoppers is the mystery that comes when buying an up-opened Amazon box. Who knows what is inside the box? It could be packets of tissue or a laptop, all priced at $12 and under…
