Rapper Pooh Shiesty released from federal prison early, attorney confirms

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) – Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty was released from federal prison early, according to his attorney.

Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell D. Williams Jr., pleaded guilty to firearms and drug charges as part of a deal that dropped three other charges in January 2022, according to the Southern District of Florida Department of Justice.

One of those charges could have resulted in a life sentence.

According to the DOJ, Williams admitted to taking part in the conspiracy of a gas station car shooting; a meeting to get drugs where two people were assaulted; and for assaulting someone with a firearm at a strip club…
