Two men killed in separate South Florida crashes involving Brightline trains

BOYNTON BEACH — Two pedestrians were killed in separate crashes involving Brightline trains in South Florida in a 24-hour span this week, authorities said.

Boynton Beach police reported that a 26-year-old man was killed the evening of Sunday, Nov. 2 when he was struck by a Brightline train while running on the train tracks on the 700 block of North FEC near Northeast 6th Avenue and Federal Highway. Investigators did not disclose the man’s name. Boynton Beach Police detectives and police officers closed East Boynton Beach Boulevard and Federal Highway while investigating the incident.
