Hollywood Residents Asked to Report King Tide Flooding Using New App

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is asking residents, local governments, and businesses to help document flooding during this week’s King Tide event. King Tides are the highest tides of the year and can cause temporary flooding in low-lying coastal areas. SFWMD has launched a Flooding Observation App at sfwmd.gov/FloodingApp. The public can use the app to submit real-time or recent flooding reports, including those related to King Tides or heavy rain.

All submitted data is available to the public at sfwmd.gov/FloodResource. This information helps engineers, planners, and emergency response teams track flooding and plan for flood resilience in South Florida.
