FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Broward County’s new restoration project involves a 7.1-acre sand trap on the north side of the Port Everglades Entrance Channel.
Through the movement and transport of the sand every four years, the project will protect the shoreline in Dania Beach, Hallandale Beach, and Hollywood.
