BSO sergeant is accused of injuring woman in domestic-violence incident

A Broward County police sergeant allegedly grabbed a woman by the face and neck Wednesday night “to the point she felt she could not breathe” and dragged her across a front lawn, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives responded around 7 p.m. to a domestic disturbance in Pompano Beach and found Sgt. Scott Nida, 54, and the woman, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

There was a fight between them, and Nida is accused of injuring the woman’s face and neck…
