HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — The City of Hallandale Beach hosted a ceremonial street renaming this week to honor its “sister city,” Sderot, city officials announced this week.
The event held Wednesday afternoon formally designated Southeast Fifth Street as “Sderot Way,” highlighting the longstanding relationship and shared resilience between the two communities, city officials said.
City officials said the dedication underscores Hallandale Beach’s ongoing solidarity with the people of Israel following the events of Oct. 7, 2023.
