‘It has been an absolute honor’: Miami police Chief Manny Morales to retire

MIAMI — Chief Manny Morales announced Thursday that he plans to retire in October after 32 years with the Miami Police Department, including the last four as chief.

“Thirty-two magnificent years doing something that I consider to be the honor of a lifetime to be serving my community as a police officer, the last four of them as the chief of police,” He added. “I am ready to enjoy all that comes with a peaceful retirement. When I reflect back on these 32 years, I really want to thank the men and women of the Miami Police Department.”
