Violating a restraining order by showing up at his ex-wife’s job and trying to force her into his Camaro got a Miami doctor suspended by the state surgeon general last week.
That’s the first official professional consequence for Dr. Alfonso Ramirez after the 67-year-old Northwest Miami-Dade resident pleaded guilty in April 2025 to attempted kidnapping; felony battery (domestic strangulation); tampering with a witness or victim, a felony; misdemeanor battery; and violating a domestic violence restraining order.
Ramirez was sentenced to four years’ probation on each of the felony charges and a year probation on each of the misdemeanors, all probation clocks running concurrently.
