4-Year-Old’s Tragic Death in Pool of ‘Family-Friendly’ Miami AirBnB Sparks Legal Fight

The tragicdrowning of 4-year-old Kennedi Ray at a vacation rental in South Florida is now at the center of a growing legal battle, as her family demands accountability from both the homeowner and Airbnb over what they say were missingsafety features required by law.

Kennedi, who had autism, diedon March 5 after wandering out of the rental property and falling into a backyard pool while her parents slept during a family trip to Miami.

A Family’s Loss and Call for Accountability

Kennedi’s parents, visiting from Atlanta, say the home had been advertised as “family-friendly,” but lacked critical safety measures designed to prevent child drownings.

“I lost my child,”her mother, Adenah Francis, said during an emotionalpress conference. “She only got four years here. We loved her so much.”
