Mystery Mogul Snags Twin Golden Beach Oceanfront Prizes for $53 Million

A mystery buyer shelled out roughly $53 million for an oceanfront Golden Beach mansion and the empty lot next door, stitching the two parcels into a single high-value spread with serious bragging rights. The move links together more than 200 feet of private sand on the narrow, guard-gated barrier island just north of Sunny Isles Beach. In a town with fewer than 70 oceanfront addresses, deals like this are starting to quietly redraw the shoreline map.

The buyer paid about $32.5 million for the beachfront house at 387 Ocean Boulevard and roughly $22.3 million for the neighboring parcel at 395 Ocean Boulevard, according to The Real Deal. South Florida Business Journal pegged the combined outlay at $53 million in its coverage.

MLS records describe the mansion at 387 Ocean Boulevard as an 11,599-square-foot, six-bedroom Mediterranean-style estate on about a 0.96-acre lot with roughly 150 feet of ocean frontage. Marketing materials highlight an oval pool, a large poolside cabana, a gym, a home theater and a separate guest house, per the Miami Luxury Homes listing. Next door, 395 Ocean Boulevard was pitched as a 21,000-square-foot, buildable oceanfront lot with approved plans by SAOTA, according to the Coldwell Banker listing.

Sellers and agents

Property records identify Ocean Blvd Golden LLC as the seller of the mansion and a trust managed by Barry Somerstein as the seller of the development parcel, according to The Real Deal. The house was marketed by Lydia Eskenazi and Jonathan Bigelman of BE Luxury Group at One Sotheby’s, while the lot was listed by Jon Mann of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker, per local listing pages and agent materials.

Why buyers are assembling in Golden Beach

The deal lines up with a recent run of big-ticket assemblages on Ocean Boulevard as buyers and developers hunt for larger, unified sites with long ocean frontage. Industry reporting has pointed to a 2022 purchase by InterSystems founder Phillip Ragon that combined three Golden Beach parcels for roughly $93 million, highlighting the appetite for consolidated beachfront holdings in the area.
