POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The sheriff’s office has identified a man found fatally shot in the roadway early Sunday morning in Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said its deputies were called around 2 a.m. April 5, near 1600 North Dixie Highway, after reports of an injured man lying in the street. Deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Rayon Sanchez of Pompano Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with BSO’s Homicide Unit and crime scene investigators responded to investigate. North Dixie Highway was shut down for about four hours overnight while deputies processed the scene before reopening to traffic, according to the news release…
