The Fort Lauderdale Police Department has been active on social media with videos of officers intercepting lawbreakers. In a recent video on Instagram, Sergeant Thomas spotted a woman in a white sedan, doing her makeup with the sun visor flipped down and a light illuminating her face.
This was not while her car was parked on the road, but while she was driving down Broward Boulevard in traffic. The sergeant noticed how distracted the woman was as she focused more on her face in the mirror than the road ahead, prompting him to follow her. However, she failed to notice the police car behind her.
The sergeant radioed in, “The woman’s got a makeup brush in her hand, and she’s driving in traffic.”
