HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department responded to a gas leak incident at the Costco store in Iwilei, after being called to the location at 1:14 p.m.
Police said that everyone in the store was evacuated. They also indicated that there were no injuries and no medical actions needed.
“We just had a refrigerant leak, in Costco, ” explained Ricky Yamashita, Honolulu Fire Department’s Hazmat 1 Captain. “And basically, we have to ventilate the area and, stand by and assist the, technician as far as shutting down the system to make sure there’s no more.”…
