HONOLULU (KHON2) — The future of Oahu’s next landfill is uncertain once again.
The City had previously called Makaiwa Hills in West Oahu the only viable option, but that location is now off the table. A spokesperson said the mayor told the landowner several weeks ago that it does not support locating another landfill on the west side.
