Pedestrian dies days after being struck in Kalihi parking lane

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 59-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in Kalihi on May 26.

At about 6:30 a.m., a non-traffic motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred in the private parking lane of a business in the Kalihi area.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department that a 55-year-old man was attempting to park his car in a private parking lane adjacent to a business when he struck a 59-year-old pedestrian who was lying on the roadway within the parking lane…
