EWA BEACH, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to a building fire incident that was reported at a restaurant in Ewa Beach early Sunday morning.
According to HFD reports, they received the initial report of the incident at approximately 4:26 a.m., with the first alarm initiating at 4:37 a.m. at the Panda Express location in Ewa Beach.
The Honolulu Police Department arrived at the scene at 4:37 a.m. with multiple HFD units responding.
It was confirmed at 5:09 a.m. that the source of smoke was due to an electrical short in an appliance.
Additional units were confirmed at 6:01 a.m., followed by HFD classifying the incident as closed at 6:09 a.m….
