National Weather Service forecasters in Honolulu say minor coastal flooding is possible during high tides through Tuesday, June 16, as peak monthly high tides will combine with higher-than-expected water levels.
A coastal flooding statement was issued, alerting the public to the possibility of minor flooding along the shorelines and in low-lying coastal areas throughout the entire state, especially near daily peak tide, which will be during the late afternoon and early evening hours.
