Emergency repairs to begin on storm-damaged Tantalus Drive section

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Emergency repairs are set to begin next month on a section of Tantalus Drive damaged during the March Kona Low storm.

The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction said work will start July 6 near 2369 and 2375 Tantalus Dr. Officials said the project will reconstruct a damaged shoulder and restore full access to the two-lane roadway.

Construction is expected to take about four months, with work scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays…
