Man critically injured in pedestrian crash on H-1 west, Makiki area

MAKIKI, Hawaii (Island News) — A 30-year-old man was severely harmed after getting hit by a car on the H-1 Freeway westbound in the Makiki area Wednesday afternoon.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the crash involving a pedestrian on Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2026, on the H-1 Freeway heading west near the Alexander Street on-ramp.
