18-year-old motorcyclist dies in high speed crash in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, Hawaii (Island News) – A teen has died following a collision involving a motorcycle in Kapolei on Tuesday night, just before 11 p.m.

Police reported that an 18-year-old man on a motorcycle was headed eastbound on the Kalaeloa Blvd off-ramp at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck a concrete barrier.

As a result of the collision, the 18-year-old was ejected onto the roadway and was taken by the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a nearby hospital in serious condition. It was later confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead…
