HONOLULU (KHON2) — Fourteen endangered missing children were safely recovered on Oʻahu during a recent multiagency operation, state officials announced on July 1.
The weeklong effort, known as Operation Shine the Light VII, resulted in the recovery of 14 minors between the ages of 13 and 17, including nine girls and five boys, who were located at various places across Oʻahu. Authorities said it is the largest recovery effort in the operation’s history.
