Sand Island shoreline restoration starts, WWII debris removed

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Shoreline restoration is set to begin at Sand Island.

Starting on Thursday, July 9, crews will work to remove hazardous materials from aging World War II-era structures along the southwestern shoreline.
