Mullen, Lyons, Ka’aihue address media ahead of Ninth Island Showdown

There’s still a bitter taste in the mouth of the UNLV faithful following their home opener loss to the University of Memphis Tigers this past Saturday.

In a game that saw transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold shine, throwing for 291 yards and accounting for two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, the Rebels went on to lose 27-21 in front of 31,384 people, the third-biggest opening night crowd at home in school history.

The Rebels will have a chance to even their record at 1-1, as they look to travel to Hawaii later this week to take on the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m…
