HONOLULU (Island News) — Hawaiʻi Foodbank will distribute free emergency meal packs on Oʻahu next weekend to help families prepare for disasters and extended power outages.
The distribution will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s warehouse at 2611 Kilihau Street in Māpunapuna. Advance registration is required.
The shelf-stable meal packs, known as Survivor Daily Rations, or SDRs, are designed to provide food when disasters disrupt access to electricity, refrigeration or cooking facilities…
