Locals reveal their favorite Pokémon as the Green Pokémon jet arrives in Hawaiʻi

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Thirty years later, Pokémon still has a strong pull; and in Hawaiʻi, that interest is showing up in a place fans know well: the skies and the trading card search bar.

The Pokémon excitement is taking to the skies as the green Pokémon Jet is scheduled to arrive at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport for its inaugural flight from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Friday, Sept. 18.

ANA is marking Pokémon’s 30th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of its international flights with three special Pokémon Jets: red, green and blue.

The Green Pokémon Jet is the first of the three aircraft and features Pikachu and other Grass-type Pokémon on an adventure. ANA said the project is meant to bring the excitement and fun of Pokémon to travelers and fans around the world…
