HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hurricane Nolo continues to strengthen as it moves through the Pacific.
In the latest update from the National Weather Service, Nolo is moving north-northeastward at five miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 85 miles per hour.

The storm is expected to continue moving in this direction but will slow later Friday night, NWS said.
“A turn toward the west-northwest and west with an increase in forward speed is forecast Saturday and Sunday. On the forecast track, the center of Nolo will remain well south of the main Hawaiian Islands.”
