Bat Week shines lights on Hawaii’s only native land mammal

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Hawaii animal rescue organization is bringing bats into the light.

The Hawai’i Wildlife Center is asking the public to help document sightings of the rarely seen ‘ōpe’ape’a, or Hawaiian hoary bat.
