HONOLULU (Island News) — Hawaiʻi will see light to moderate trade winds and brief passing showers today, mainly over windward and mountain areas during the overnight and early morning hours.
Trade winds are expected to gradually strengthen over the next few days, with moderate winds and more showers possible this weekend as a weakening weather system moves across the islands.
Forecasters are also watching a developing weather pattern that could bring significant changes starting Monday night or Tuesday. Deep tropical moisture may move across the state, bringing the potential for heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash flooding through at least the middle of next week.
