Petersons’ Upland Farm has been serving the community since 1910, but even for a local business that’s been around for 114 years, all good things must come to an end.
“There’s always multiple reasons why a small family farm closes,” stated farm owner, Sharon Peterson Cheape. “So many outside things that you can’t have control over cost of things and price increases.”
Despite the struggles of owning a farm, Cheape said it’s time to say goodbye.
“It’s time to let go and I’m really looking forward to spending time with family,” said Cheape.
The farm will be missed by its daily customers – some whom have been visiting since they were kids. Many loyal customers said Petersons’ Upland Farm is an iconic place in Wahiawa.
