HONOLULU (KHON2) — It’s that time of year again. The Punahou Carnival, a Hawaiʻi tradition since 1932, is about to commence; and the whole family is invited. The 2024 theme is “Explore the Shore ’24”.
The Punahou Carnival is setting up now and will begin on Friday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m., closes at 11 p.m. and goes through Saturday, Feb. 3. You will once again get experience the fun of E.K. Fernandez Rides and Punahou game booths.
But what most people are excited about is the fun foods that are offered at this carnival.
The carnival is a fun event that draws thousands each year, and it’s Punahou’s big push to raise money for their scholarship programs.
“Proceeds from the Carnival go to support financial aid for students who otherwise would not be able to attend Punahou,” explained a spokesperson for Punahou School. “So, it’s fun for the whole family; and it supports a worthy cause. Our financial aid is need-based so there’s a range, but whatever the amount, the funds generated by Carnival support deserving students who otherwise could not attend Punahou.”
