Honolulu’s Chinatown Ready To Celebrate Lunar New Year

HONOLULU (Island News) – While Lunar New Year is still a little over a week away, the celebration in Hawaii gets started this weekend. Chinese New Year festivities will shut down traffic on Beretania between Maunakea and A’ala. The full day of exhibits, demonstrations, food and more takes place this Saturday from 9am to 10pm, but the celebration in Chinatown will get underway Friday night.
