Lies, drugs and crime: Miske’s former top associate questioned in cross examination

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The script has flipped and the defense is getting a chance to cross examine alleged crime boss Michael Miske’ former top associate.

Drug addiction, drug trafficking, lies and a constant life of crime. That’s what attorney’s for Miske honed in on during their cross examination of Miske’s former right-hand man, Wayne Miller. The defense highlighted Miller’s oxycodone addiction, citing his testimony that he would take 20 pills multiple times a day.

Miske’s attorney also did not hold back regarding Miller’s criminal history which includes an armed robbery among other offenses. The defense also narrowed in on Miller’s past drug offenses and violations of his supervised release.

“Since your sentence ended, you been fooling the court and judge right,” said Michael Kennedy, Michael Miske’s attorney.

“Yes sir,” said Miller.

“You been fooling the judge that sentenced you. You were real good at fooling people because you’ve been doing it for years right,” said Kennedy.
