Even while resting multiple starters, the No. 3 University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team swept Tusculum 25-11, 25-16, 25- on Friday night at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawaii improved to 7-1 for the 2024 season, while Tusculum dropped to 1-7.

Regular starting outside hitters Spyros Chakas and Chaz Galloway did not play due to load management. Without them, Alaka’i Todd had a match-high 13 kills on 17 swings, hitting an efficient .765, a career high.
Meanwhile, Keoni Thiim added five kills and a career-high seven service aces, two shy of tying a program record. Freshman Tread Rosenthal dished out a match-high 23 kills for the ‘Bows.
For Tusculum, Deklan Wingo had a team-high 11 kills.
The Rainbow Warriors and Pioneers will close their series on Sunday at 5 p.m.
