No. 3 Hawaii men’s volleyball team overwhelms Tusculum

The No. 3 University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team overwhelmed Tusculum 25-15, 25-11, 25-7 on Sunday at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Warriors were dominant in all three sets, but particularly in the third, where the ‘Bows trailed 3-2 but then went on a miraculous 18-0 run to put away the Pioneers (1-8).

Keoni Thiim had a career-high 14 kills on 18 swings for the Rainbow Warriors, hitting an efficient .722, while also adding two service aces, an assist, three digs and four blocks. Meanwhile, backup setter Kevin Kauling had a match-high 21 assists.

Next up for Hawaii is a home series against No. 4 Stanford, which begins on Wednesday at 7 p.m. HST.
