Pac-Five, Punahou win HHSAA girls soccer championships

The Motiv8 Foundation HHSAA girls soccer championships concluded on Saturday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex, with Pac-Five and Punahou winning state crowns.

The Division II championship game came down to a penalty shootout after the contest was scoreless after double overtime. The Wolfpack won the shootout 5-4, winning the state DII title for the third year in a row.

In the Division I championship, Punahou prevailed 2-1 over Kamehameha with goals from Xehlia Salanoa and Anuhea Ilae. Marley Espiau scored for the Warriors.

The HHSAA boys soccer championships will take place next week.
