Hydrant lateral repair closes lane in Downtown

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Drivers are urged to avoid South Nimitz Highway between Alakea and Bishop Streets, as crews work to repair a hydrant lateral leak in Downtown Honolulu.

Officials said the repair closed the far-right lane in the west-bound direction. As of now, only two west-bound lanes are open. Those who are travelling east-bound are not affected.

At this time, the Board of Water said customers are not affected.
