On Tuesday, the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii opened a new fitness center at its Waianae Clubhouse.
The endeavor was made possible by Waianae native and mixed martial arts star Max Holloway, who along with the UFC, donated $50,000 towards the project.

The new fitness center was opened with a ceremony that included a blessing, as well as a fitness class taught by Holloway himself and his childhood friend, Josh Keanu.
Holloway was also honored as the new health and fitness ambassador for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii.
The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii has nine clubhouses across the state, including on Oahu and Kauai.
Holloway’s next bout will take place at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, where he will face Justin Gaethje for the organization’s ‘BMF’ belt on April 13.
