Key-annah Campbell-Pua got the start and took the loss for Hawaii, allowing seven runs, which included five hits and four home runs in 2.1 innings.
The Rainbow Wahine were held to just five hits as a team, with Ka’ena Keliinoi racking up two of them for UH.
Hawaii resumes the Bank of Hawaii Paradise Classic against Kansas City on Friday at 6 p.m.
